    Default Elephant, Kabini

Apologies for not being active on the forum this week, but have been very busy.

Well, here's an elephant in the Kabini backwaters. EOS 40D 500f4 + 1.4x converter, on Aperture Priority @ f.5.6. Handheld from boat.

    Thanks for looking, c & c, welcome.

Nicely composed. Sharp. Liked the low angle and the details. Would have said that the elephant in the back is a bit distracting, but this gives a feeling of a big herd in the water. Like it. Perfect.

    Apana,
This is a fabulous image. I love the low angle, the eye contact and the way the trunk is ahead in the water is nice. I like the sharpness. This is from the morning or evening boat ride?

    Cheers,
    Sabysachi

Evening boat ride, Sabyasachi, with the elephants on the Bandipur side so with the sun opposite them. Since the weather was overcast, the jungle would have been very gloomy, so opted for the boat on three occasions.

What a captivating image! Loved the serene expression on the elephant. The texture of the skin, glint in the eyes and details on the mud and dried grass on elephant head stand out. The raised trunk popping out of the water makes this image for me. A super capture, to say the least!
