    Default Flying Flamingos!

Shot a bit before and outside Sultanpur national park earlier in November this year. We weren't allowed to go inside Sultanpur cos of the new rules requiring special permission for entry before 9 am. The forest guard at the gate told us about this visiting flock of flamingos some distance away, as a balm for us Superb sighting in a crop field with standing water and early morning light. After a while we got too close for comfort for them and I shot this as they took off. Will post other shots of these ballet dancers soon

Nicely said, Ballet dancers . They do look nice them. Nice image of the flock in flight. Seems to be a well aged flock, cant spot any juveniles. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely flying pose captured. I liked the symmetry. Good eye contact from all. There seem to be some noise in the background. Is this a crop? Look forward to more. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely 'V' formation documented. The flock has increased flight efficiency by about 71%. In a long range flight birds go on changing the position so as to conserve energy. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

Lovely sighting. Nice formation. Some more space would have been nice. I am wondering whether running behind a lead runner in long distance running will help conserve energy and then later the runner can use it up for a final burst near the finish line.

Very nice! Lovely formation and well composed. Agree there is a bit of noise, but it doesn't bother me too much in this case.
