    English Name - White-throated Fantail
    Bengali Name - Chak_dayal
    Scientific Name - Rhipidura albicollis
    Size - 19 cm
    [Nikon D5100 + Sigma 150-500]
    Location - Mahadipur, Malda, W.B.
    Shot Taken on - Sep, 12

    1/125 sec; f/8; ISO 1000
    uncropped, basic photoshop.

    It took me 2 yrs of work with this bird to get this image [I was posted there for 2 yrs and the bird often came near my office, alone or in pair; this image was the result of 2 years of trust ]...

    ya i know, the image is good, but defective due to tail... i got the tail full (posted before), but missed the head turn...and the saddest part is this type of opportunities rarely comes twice...

    yet to learn a lot...

    Nice close-up. Good eye contact. The low angle adds to the composition. What was the focal length you were using? Since you were using a 150-500 mm lens, maybe zooming out would have helped to get the tail in full. Thanks for sharing.

    thanks for the review...

    This pic was taken more than 1 yr ago, then my only aim was to get as close to the subject as possible...
    But now my main aim is composition... surely I'll try to get the subject in full...

    Nice image, agree with previous comments. It would have been nice had you got it with its spread out fan like tail. Reminds one of earlier days when a hand fan-Chinese/Japanese make was used when the power would go off . Thanks for sharing.

    ya i got images of its tail spread like fan, but sadly the tail was in focus instead of its eyes and so the picture is not worth posting...
