    Default The flight

Was busy trying to capture the wire tailed swallow and the GBEs when I could capture this frame. Due to the spontaneity of the event I couldnt get a proper frame and the bird ended up on the extreme right of the frame, to make the frmae complete I added a background on the right side.

    EXIF:

    Canon EOS 550D
    Canon 55-250IS
    F/5.6
    Shutterspeed 1/1000
    ISO - 200
    +0.7 step
    Location: Hubli(Cotton county club grounds)

Photo retouched with inclusion of background on right side of frame

The added BG is clearly visible due to the distinct change of shade, it draws attention and gives the image a sort of tampered look. I would suggest you leave the original image as it is, maybe try other methods to improve the composition. After all, attempts do fail and one can always keep trying for the right shot.
I am not familiar with the procedure to add extra background, thanks for offering a detailed explanation of your workflow here.

By the way, what is a GBE? In spider terms it refers to the Goliath bird-eating spider .

    Hi

Agree with Abhishek's observations. Maybe a vertical crop may have worked. Maybe there is a shake, for the details even at 1000 SS is a bit blurred.

Good exposure to get the eye contact and the swooping position is lovely.

And Oh yes, the GBE actually has a lot of acronyms associated with it. Are you referring to the Green Bee Eater ?

    Thanks for sharing
