Default Nilgiri Langur Call.....Gavi forest PTR

We were driving from Angamoozhy to Gavi in Periyar Tiger Reserve. We saw a troop making sounds.Eventhough they were making sound for a long time I could record only for few seconds with reasonable quality.......

Used Sony xperia ion mobile for recording and amplified the sound using Wavepad editor.

Lot of birds at Gavi, Roopakji....Since Iam not a keen birder, must have missed a lot.But I saw an Asian Paradise Fly catcher, male, flying across with its long tail.I also photographed another bird the id of which I do not know.I will post it later.......Elephants,wild boars, nilgiri langurs and Sambar deers were the other mammals we saw.....Missed the LTM,Nilgiri Marten and Gaur.....

Also if you can listen to this langur call with external speakers and little high volume, you would hear another peculiar sound made by this animal......This particular part of the call is not audible with the laptop speakers for me......

Nice recording. Its quite loud and clear. A few more seconds would have been good. Thanks for sharing.
