    Default Babe of Gavi!........

I hope many of you wouldn't have forgotten "babe",the pig which thought it was a sheep dog!.....But here is a real wild boar which thinks its a police dog!......We saw this on our way to Gavi(Periyar Tiger Reserve) and instead of running away it came close to our car!.......Later we came to know from forest officials that this wild boar has become accustomed to humans and they have named it as 'Manikutty".....

    Canon 400D,55-250IS,ISO400,1/320,f9.....

    Regards

Nice image. Lovely details of the cartilage reinforced snout. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

Interesting story. At first sight it is surprising to see a close head-on image of a wild boar . Would have liked to see some shots from a wide angle lens.

Nice - seems the light was low . . . any reason for a f9 ? going lower could have given you some more SS and scope for a +'ve EC for the blacks. The torn ear probably indicates the rigors of the 'Police training' :-)
The biggest asset for this picture is the direct eye contact and the flat snout, while a lower angle would have made this lovely snap even better.

    Thanks for sharing

The expression is indeed very reminiscent of the Babe the pig.Very endearing image with the front hooves together in an attitude of expectation. Thanks for sharing.
