The Honour for the Image of the Month for January 2014 goes to the Wolf Spider image of Abhishek Jamalabad

I liked the composition with the legs appearing to radiate out of an imaginary centre point.

Following is the original text that accompanied the image:
A wolf spider (family Lycosidae) from Yeoor, Maharashtra. Many of these spiders are often found in the vicinity of (but not restricted to) jungle streams. The females can often be seen scurrying along the gravel or grass carrying a white spherical egg mass.
