    Nice to see the fastest long-distance runners in the world walking gracefully. It looks like that the adult male may have dark, grizzled colour not usual rich black. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

    nice to see the grass lands of bidar with its mascot species. curious to know how is the birding here...esp raptor sightings...

    This so called grassland is a huge meadow encompassed on one side by forests ,an airforce station on the other and the rest by villages.This is supposedly private property.It is full of little ponds and lakes created by soil and rock mining.The rock is used locally as brick for construction.The ponds are used by opportunistic migratory birds as temporary stopovers.There were spotbills,wooly necked storks, lapwings,crested larks,grey hornbills,Indian coursers etc.I did not sight any raptors.
