    Default Chinkara-Bidar

What I earlier thought was a young male black-buck now seems to be chinkara(thanks to some timely identification by Saktipadaji)Canon 60D+100-400mm FL400mm F5.6 ISO800 1/1600S I have tried to repair the vivid greens and the whites( which were a blown).Sep 2013 evening.I found chinkaras grazing side by side with the black bucks.I will be posting some images for record.

Nice image. While repairing the white you have changed the original color into bluish tinge, I think the original will look better.

Dr Ajay Singh,I too felt the same , after I had posted the image. These photographs were taken during a time when I was struggling with a new set of camera equipment.A lot of lovely images have been spoilt thus.

Nice pose. I agree about the bluish tint. You photograph in RAW or jpeg? If you use RAW, then you can maintain the original file and correct in post processing. Thanks for sharing.

Vijay Belli, Bidar is in Karnataka, about 180km north west of Hyderabad. There are a lot of fragmented forests in this area .The Black Bucks and Chinkaras come out from these forests to graze in the meadows of a township called Naubad which is little ahead of Bidar.
