Nice perch and eye contact. The vertical composition looks good. Wish the light was better, that would have helped to enhance the colours further. You can crop the slight hint of the twig from the left. Thanks for sharing.
Good to see a closeup. Most of the times I have seen beginners chase this bird due to its beautiful plumage. I too used to do that long back with a film camera. There appears to be a slight magneta cast which can be corrected during processing. Thanks for sharing.
