Default Jackal- A Ghostly presence in the early morning light

It was practically dark when we started our safari and sighted him on the road ahead. He saw the vehicle coming and left the road to disappear into the undergrowth on the side, to reappear later, behind our vehicle.Just managed to capture a few shots in the haze.Canon60D+100-400mm 1/500s ISO2500 F/6.3 FL260mm.Corbett morning April 2014.

Nice composition with habitat. It seems that the Jackals of the Himalayan foothills are usually larger and heavier. Thanks for sharing. SaktiWild

The dirt track takes our eye into the image. Good to see a healthy jackal. Looks like it still has the fluffy winter coat. Thanks for sharing.
