    Default Corbett Diary Apr-14

As India’s first tiger reserve, Corbett is also faces of challenges of human intervention . Close proximity to major cities such as Delhi and wayward tourism have had an impact on the park’s ecology. Lot of private properties have cropped up in and around the Corbett Tiger Reserve resulting into frequent encounter of human and animal.

    Vipin,
Did you click this on the way to the National park gate? Animals often use that area to go to the river, unfortunately resorts have comeup with boundary walls resulting in blocking the corridor used by animals.

The saturation is really high. Is this a cropped image?

Did you upload a large file larger than 1024pixels on the longest side as I find the file is 799x532 pixels.

    Cheers,
    Sabyasachi

Sabyasachi Sir , I shot this on the way to Jhirna zone , infect during this click one of the female elephant charged on us due to the human intervention.
While we were waiting just before the point where elephant was about to cross the road , we saw a forest guard tried to cross over on his bike but instead crossing over he stopped in between and accelerate his bike for no reason ,and that disturbed the herd and one of the female charged on him which he somehow managed to escape with very close call.

Yes , image is slightly cropped by approx. 10% -15% and the uploaded file is 800X533 pixel.

Human intervention is a major challenge facing most of our national parks. We see similar cases in Bandipur, wh elephant herds cross the road and are disturbed by the tourist vehicles going to Ooty or other places. No roads passing through the parks can be one solution, but it is tough to implement . Here you have mentioned, even the forest guard didnt follow the rules, that is very sad. Thanks for sharing.

If you upload a file size more than 300kb, then the software resizes it and so there can be a drop in quality.
