    f4.8? Is that a typing error? What is the purple patch?

    The red colour is striking. The purple patch seems to be of another flower (?) in the background. You could have moved a bit more to the left to avoid it. Good details. Thanks for sharing.

    Purple Patch is another pink tiny flower.ID not known. It is f/4.8 under Shutter Priority.

    Nice Photograph. The ID is Papaver somniferum L. of Papaveraceae. The dried latex from the fruit of this plant is the Narcotic drug Opium. It is banned from cultivation.
    The active principles in the latex like Morphine & codeine (both alkaloids) are well known for their pain killing activity and are still in vogue in the Modern system of medicine.
    The seeds anyways do not contain any narcotic effect. Commonly known as Khas Khas seeds, used in sweet dishes.
