    Canon60D 100-400mm F/6.3 ISO2000 1/500s Dandeli morning May 2014.Cropped 30%.The bird was perched on a branch surrounded by dense vegetation .

    Lovely. Makes a change from the usual upright perched trogon pose. I like the ruffled feathers. Don't mind the clutter, it's tough to get a trogon on a very clear perch.

    Such a colourful bird. Agree with Abhishek, the ruffled feathers look nice. The composition looks fine. Thanks for sharing.

    I agree with the previous comments. The eye contact is fine here. I too like the ruffled feathers. It is not easy to get it in a clear perch. It would have been even better if the branch was not directly behind the head. Nevertheless that is its habitat and one can't do anything about it. Light seems to be low. Else f8 would have been great. Thanks for sharing.
