Default Indian flap-shelled turtle, enjoying the summer sun!

Nikon P510, 1/500, F5.9, 180 mm, ISO-200, almost full frame, cropped a little at right and bottom

Clicked in Nizamsagar reservoir, on 11-May-14, near AP-KA-MH border. Another dream came true, these used to be our childhood friends after rainy season, used to see them in little ponds and take delight in how they stick their neck out and draw it in, never thought then that one day I would be desperately trying to see one for years.
Spotted by my wife and kid while I was driving on the Dam bund

Liked the way it is basking in the sun. Nice composition and eye contact. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Mrudul and Sakti sir for your views and feedback. Sometimes, when we click without much preparation we get a good one. I just had chance to click one photo. By the time I cut off the engine and looked again, it plops into water :-)
