The master of camouflaged ; stone-curlews, also known as dikkops or thick-knees, consist of nine species within the family Burhinidae, and are found throughout the tropical and temperate parts of the world, with two species found in Australia. Canon 7D , Canon 300mm f/4.0 , ISO - 1600 , f/7.1 , 1/1000 , EC = -0.3.

Nice to see a pair. They are so well camouflaged in the shrub surroundings. Good eye contact from both the birds. Was this clicked from a gypsy? A lower angle if possible would have strengthened the composition further. Thanks for sharing.

Mrudul , this was taken from gypsy.
Many safari gypsy could not spot them and moved ahead without noticing them.
Birds were hardly 10mtr from the vehicle and wasn't moving at all , I was fortunate to spot them from very long distance and then kept moving the gypsy near to them and finally was only 10mtr away from them.
I guess both are parenting but very close to main safari road .

Nice to see this. At times when they are sitting still it becomes difficult to notice them. Good that both of them are looking in the same direction. In gypsys unless one is sitting next to the driver, it becomes a challenge to get a low angle. With the theatre style seating in the gypsies in ranthambhore one is often forced to shoot from the top, further increasing the problem. Thanks for sharing.
