    It is very tough to get this bird on a natural perch...photographed in my village in west bengal....
    7d + 500mm f4 is II usm
    iso 200, 1/400, f6.3, ec +0.7 step, Av mode, spot metering, one shot focus, monopod (manfrotto 685B), cropped...

    Nice to see this pair sitting snugly together. Good eye contact. You could have tried to use a narrower aperture like f8 to get more details. Thanks for sharing.

    The image is a bit dark. A higher positive exposure compensation would have helped. I agree that a natural perch would have looked great. Thanks for sharing.
