    Hi Hari

Your EXIF readings are: Canon Powershot S3 IS, F3.5, 1/80 shutter, 72mm focal length, ISO 100 on a Spot metering mode.

Options that come to my mind are:
    - switch to an evaluative metering mode
    - bump up the ISO to around 400 to gain higher shutter speed
    - Do not use the digital zoom (this is obviously a zoom since the exif read 72mm)
    - use a UV filter to cut out some of the glare
    - this also looks like a crop which enhances the highlights

    regards
    Rajan
