    Default Gaur in Rain

Photographed in Bandipur. It was raining quite heavily when we sighted a herd of Gaurs on the road. As they were quite close to the gyspy, I got a close-up.

Canon 1D Mark IV, Canon 100-400mm IS lens, ISO 1600, f5.6, 1/80, hand held, full frame.

    Comments and critiques welcome.

I like this a lot. It was pouring (as Roopak brought it from Kerala). There was a tiger around and the gaurs were hesitant to go into the bush and were staying on the open. Great details in the image.

Nice. this was a memorable moment..the gaur were not ready to move and kept staring into the bush... the pugs of the tiger were fresh and tension was palpable. A little later we came to know futher down another jeep and seen the tiger move this side....the bad luck comes complimentary with the rain from the kerala side...

It was bad luck for me, for i had to leave a day early. Missed the Gaur and Roopak :-)

I like the feel of the photo and the details on the gaur. The slow shutter causing the rain streaks is a big plus for this wonderful image

    Thanks for sharing

    regards
