    Default All that was left

Was not sure if this belonged to this category, but since the subject (active) was a lizard i preffered posting here.
This was encountered surinf the walk towards Jambhulmal, just after crossing the Gaumukh plateau. This dead lizard was lying dangled in the abandoned web of an Indian Giant wood spider. We couldnt located the hunter though, but was interesting how such a big sized reptile could be caught, consumed and dangled in such a delicate (visually) structure.

Interesting observation. The strength of the web can be seen here. The body is decayed. Not sure why the spider might have left the web and still none of the other insects like ants or other bugs have found the body . As usually in the wild, nothing goes to waste. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely record. Spiders kind of pump digestive juices on its prey and when these digestive juices digest part of the prey, the spider sucks it back. I have no idea how long a spider may take to fully consume a lizard. Thanks for sharing.
