Default Changeable Hawk eagle with kill

From the same series I posted earlier from Kabini. Captured this behavior, where after having the meal it started cleaning its bill by rubbing it on the trunk.

    Canon 1D Mark IV, Canon 100-400mm IS USM lens + 1.4x , 560mm, 1/400, f8, ISO 2000, hand held, full frame

    Comments and critiques welcome.

Good capture of raptor behavior. Nice low angle, it must have been great to see it feeding so close and low down. Like carnivores even raptors try to keep themselves free of flies and parasites. Had been lucky on few occasions to watch a CHE from very close quarters and had seen small flies hover around its beak and head constantly.

This was a very beautiful moment that we saw in Kabini. It is good that there is eye contact as well. Animals and birds whom we feel are inferior than us, take great pains to remain clean. I think kids (human kids) as well as adults should be shown this to teach cleanliness. One MLA in Madhya Pradesh was earlier caught wiping his hands on an Ex-MP's sari. http://indianexpress.com/article/ind...s-its-a-prank/
