    Default Through the Looking Bauble

Season's Greetings to all! In keeping with the festive season, here is an image of one of nature's own Christmas tree ornaments.

The various optic qualities of water (a dewdrop in this case) are very intriguing. As a drop on a flat surface, or as experienced while diving/swimming, it tends to magnify. Notice how in the form seen here it acts as a miniature fisheye lens.

The plant here is the exotic but now very common and globally widespread Mexican Poppy (Argemone mexicana). Will post more pictures of the plant itself shortly.

    Thanks, C&C welcome.

Lovely Image. Can see this species a lot around agriculture lands in Odisha. I remember this species had created havoc as an adulterant in mustard oil back in the 90s. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice. I like the idea. Did you try an image with higher depth of field? Thanks for sharing.
