    Default Cerebera odolum

This is the seed of a mangrove species called Cerebera Odolum. It has a spongy interior that helps it to float for dispersion and is called the Pani Amba (Water Mango) in Odia. I found a seed which was dead but still had good definition in its fibrous textures.

The effect created by the fish eye lens looks nice. Good details. The b/w treatment looks nice in the first post. This was photographed in Maldives trip? Thanks for sharing.

Nice. Thanks for the information. Some of the best survival strategies of any organism on the planet are exhibited by mangroves. The rate at which we are destroying them is sad indeed.
The second image merits a separate thread.
