    Default LRK Diary Feb-15

    This one from LRK-india , 09/02/2015
The Montagu's harrier is a slim, medium-sized, long-winged bird of prey. It has a long tail, is smaller than a buzzard, and has more pointed wings than the similar hen harrier. The male is grey above. In flight, it shows black wingtips and a black stripe across the inner wing. The female is dark brown. Canon EOS7D , Canon 300mm f/4 , f/4 , ISO-500 , 1/800 , EC- 0 step.

Beautiful stare. The low angle enhances the composition. I liked the patterns created by the cracked earth. Was it in search of prey? Thanks for sharing.

Lovely. I like the eye contact. A higher depth of field would have been nice. The blacks on the tail have lost details. Did you also sight the female? Thanks for sharing.
    Cheers,
