    Default Tiger tracking..!!

Not just seeing Tigers, but tracking them is equally fun. We saw this massive male cross a jungle road, and dear friend Sheshadri Vasan who had prior knowledge of a kill near by knew exactly where we should go to catch sight of him again. We drove to the area, parked our jeep to a corner of the grassland and waited in silence. He came as silently as imaginable, the jungle devoid of warning calls to signal his arrival. I abandoned my long telephoto and picked up a wide angle to capture the animal's habitat: a grassland with beautiful winter greens in dying golden light.

Beautiful.Gives a lovely feeling of a bygone era when tigers roamed in forests made famous by the writings of Kenneth Andersen. How long will we be able to hold on to these fragmented bits of heaven God only knows. Thanks for sharing.

Nice frame... like the prespective here. it is difficult to get a wide angle in bandipur without the ubiqutious lantana featuring prominently..this one has a different feel with the meadow, the bamboo and trees in the BG.

Lovely scene. Including the tall trees shows the tiger in its habitat well. I am wondering whether you uploaded a bigger image and it got resized by the software or did you lower the quality to fit in within the 300kb.
    Cheers,
