Golden Oriole

Golden Oriole spotted in Botnical garden in Bhubaneswar, There was a couple and very active between trees and branches, I wished to capture the couple together but not able to.

Canon 7D II, 12-300, 1.4X, F4, 1.640, ISO 800. Av mode.

[Mrudul Godbole]

The yellow and black combination is so striking, it becomes easy to spot this bird. Difficult angle to photograph. Wish the head was slightly turned to the left, that would have enhanced the eye contact further. Thanks for sharing.

The blacks have got underexposed and lost details. The yellow in the breast portion has got overexposed and lost details. I guess simultaneous overexposre and underexposure is due to post processing issues.

When you are shooting from below, it is important to select a narrow aperture as the depth of field is often insufficient to capture the body and head, as the head is a couple of inches away.
