Agree with Dada, this species is posted for the first time in this forum. Seems like it had eaten a rat. Liked the way it is resting on the mound. Was it possible to move the camera more to the right to get the tail in full? How long was the sighting? Thanks for sharing.

Nice sighting. It would have been great if the light had fallen on the head, however the photographer has no control over such things can only hope that the snake moves a bit. It is not easy to get more depth of field and cover the body of the snake as it is away from the focal plane. What are the exif details? Thanks for sharing.
