Spectacular image. In the matter of beauty and also diversity in animal life, I still consider Manas was the finest T.R I had visited ( in 1979). Photography is difficult. Thanks for sharing. SaktiWild

P.S.: For reasons unknown, Golden Langur which was common in the Bhutan side was not crossing the Manas river to come to Indian dide. Does that position remains same till today? Whether Royal Manas N.P in Bhutan and Manas T.R are still under unified management. Could you see skulls and horns of Buffalo and Deer in the grassland along the banks of Manas and Beki rivers? I am so happy that you have visited Manas.

Nice image. It is a bit underexposed. Else, the colours would have come out better. Frontal lighting ie. with the Sun behind your shoulders, the image would have thrown more details. Thanks for sharing.
    Cheers,

    Respected Shaktida,
I feel honoured for receiving these appraising comments from such a person as you who visited the Manas in the year 1979 : that was the year of my birth. Manas must have been more magnificent during that period than what it is now. And i am of the same opinion with you that Manas is better, if not the best, than many other NPs in India. Here, I should admit that I have not yet visited many other NPs in India.
1] Golden Langur nowadays does not usually come to this side of the Manas. They are very rarely viewed from the Mathanguri FRH when they come closer at the trees of the other side of the Manas.
2] Royal Manas N.P in Bhutan and Manas T.R are no more under unified management.
3] I am happy that I did not come across any skulls and horns of Buffalo and Deer in the grassland along the banks of Manas or Beki rivers..
    Thanks a lot
Thanks Mrudul ji and Sandipan for your beautiful words....

I also consider that the image is a bit underexposed....The squirrels were in dens woods just beside road where a group of Asian Fairy Bluebirds was feeding in the same spot and I waited about 30 minutes for this frame.
    thank you very much

Nice moment and well framed samrat. agree it looks a bit underexposed
Thanks for some interesting inputs on Manas from a bygone era, shaktida. I remember recently seeing an image of a black leopard from Manas.... the setting in the image was superb.
