    Default Beautiful Tigress from Kolsa

This image was clicked when I was in Tadoba in April this year. Kolsa, lesser frequented place in Tadoba can spring surprises. Its my favorite part of Tadoba- dense, intense and unexpected surprises in every bend. No wonder people don't frequent this place as tiger sighting is really low in this part of Tadoba as compared to other areas. But the beauty of the jungle here is unparalleled compared to other areas in Tadoba. Here the tigress was walking away but kept turning back to make sure we were also on our way. Just love the twinkle in her eyes.

    Nikon D7K, f/5.6, SS 1/200, ISO 2000, 300mm. Full frame.

Agree, the catch light adds interest. The dense vegetation looks nice. I also prefer to have a sighting when the tiger is relaxed in a quieter place than with 4-5 jeeps running around it with lot of commotion. People usually don't have patience to wait, so they directly go to places where sightings are frequent . That is good in a way, as that other places are less crowded . Thanks for sharing.

    Thanks all for your comments.

Roopak: Nobody fired a flash. Our gypsy was the only gypsy and we were just 2 photographers along with the guide and driver.

Good to see a tiger from Kolsa. It is always better to be in less crowded places else one doesn't get the feeling of being in a jungle. Light seems to be pretty low, else a narrow aperture for higher depth of field would have been nice. Thanks for sharing.
