Beautiful composition. Great details even with high ISO and such low shutter speeds (and that massive lens is not light :-)). Maybe a stop or two on the +EC could have give more details around the blacks. Lovely head turn and eye contact. The OOF green splotches actually add a sense of mystic feel to the picture.

    thanks for sharing

The blacks have completely lost details. Did you shoot like this or is it because of converting? Is this a large crop?

Where in Uttarakhand did you shoot this? Thanks for sharing.

    Thank you Sir,
I have few more pictures of the same bird, but from the same angle. I have made a change in the White Balance during post processing, which resulted a tone change of the image. I have cropped the upper and lower part of the image a bit. The picture was taken near Shikhar Falls during my trek to Mussoorie.

Nice pic of this skulker. good eye contact. one gets to see a lot of top down angle shots of this bird. a wider compo with a little more of the habitat on display will also look good.
