ID Help?

Spotted this on a banana tree/plant along the palm tree farm. It seemed to be protecting the territory and wasnt bothered by my presence in close proximity nor the movement of people along the pathways.

Lovely image.

Not sure but could be from the Sciomyzidae family. Could not get the spefic name. Do a google image search with - "Sciomyzidae fly Serendah" - and you will get a similar image.
The image was taken at Serendah in Malayasia.

Not sure this is a sciomyzid, but it is a common one that I've seen before. Never identified it.
