A Toad for Breakfast--Striped necked mongoose

This quick moving denizen was moving like lightning towards us when It suddenly turned tail and made a beeline back towards the forest line.I saw the reason dangling out of its mouth.Nikon7100+150-600mm ISO800 F/8 1/500s Bandipur early morning Nov 2015.

Wow, this is a nice record. Could you share a close crop of the prey? Toads produce toxins that make them inedible to most animals. If this mongoose actually caught a toad, it would be a valuable record.

From the webbing visible in the feet, I'd say it's a bullfrog. Not completely sure though.

I have seen The stripe necked mongoose feed on frogs and crabs in nagarhole in the salt licks. It was a foggy morning and I had shot many shots but couldn't get the prey as clearly as this. Thanks for sharing.
