Nice composition. Already a huge branch is cut-off, how long the others will give them shelter. Thanks for sharing. SaktiWild

Nice to see a pair nesting. Wish the light was less harsh. Please post your equipment and exif details to help in commenting. Thanks for sharing.

The kid is waiting for the mother to come and feed. The mother is waiting close by to see any signs of danger before coming to the nest. These old hard growth trees are being cut off everywhere. Apart from loss in shade and carbon sequestration, the impact on birds, reptiles, insects and other micro fauna is huge. Thanks for sharing.

Which camera did you use to click this?

It is always advisable to careful as birds can easily get distracted and stay away from the nest for a long time.
    Cheers,

True about the rampant destruction of greenery. Unfortunately this is our housing society way of "trimming" trees. This particular tree is barely 15 feet from my window and the nest is at our eye level. Fun to see this barbet family go about. Sorry about the bad picture quality. Clicked with a very basic point and shoot camera. Planning to upgrade to a advanced Point & Shoot or a beginner DSLR (confusing decision)
