Default The eyes of the tree

    ID: Spotted Owlet.
Tried something different from the usual Keedagiri, had visited this particular spot almost an year back, expecting to spot many beauties, like last year, I could only spot one beauty. After seeing me approaching close to its nest the huge eyed beauty shifted itself inside the nest, trying to hide away from me, but eventually it slowly came out keeping a check if I was still around, that's when I caught this Peek-A-Boo shot.

Lovely image of the owlet peeking out from its favourite home -a hollow in the dried tree. The beauty of the textures of the wood has made it look like a painting. Nice caption. Thanks for sharing. SaktiWild

I liked the composition. The yellow eyes are striking. What was the ISO? Increasing the ISO for a further narrower aperture would have helped to get some more details in the bark enhancing the texture. Nicely captured. Thanks for sharing.

Wish you had more light for a higher depth of field. The texture of the tree bole would have come out even better. Wish you were slightly more to the right so that the complete eyes would have been visible. Thanks for sharing.
