Rare and beautiful capture.Nice details. They are so shy and generally nocturnal that it is almost impossible to get a decent image. Thanks for sharing.

Such a rare sighting. Lovely eye contact. The vertical composition looks good. How long was the sighting? Were you in a safari or on foot? Thanks for sharing.

Exceptional sighting beautifully documented. Being nocturnal, they are rarely documented. Some believe that mouse deers are the most primitive of ruminants. Like deer and similar hoofed animals, they have even-toed hooves and a multi-chambered stomach. But unlike deer, they have a three-chambered stomach instead of four, and they lack horns or antlers. They haven't changed or evolved much during their time on Earth. Scientists see them as an evolutionary link between ruminants and non-ruminants. Thanks for sharing such rare ungulate

Super sighting. I have seen them several times rush away in Similipal and once in Nagarhole. It gives me incredible pleasure watching this tiny fellow. It was still so you got a good image. Most of the times they runaway when flushed out of the bush or sense an approaching vehicle.

The saturation is a bit high. Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers,
    Sabyasachi
