    Default Northern shoveler LRK Jan-16

    Northern shoveler.
The shoveler (Anas clypeata) is named for its extraordinary oversized bill, which has a broad spatula-shaped tip.
    Canon EOS 7D M2 , Canon 500mm + 1.4 converter , 1/4000 , -0.3 step , f/5.6 , ISO-320 , Hand held , full frame.

Nice to see the pair. Good that you got them both sideways as we find them swimming in such pose most of the times. The blacks and the whites in the male have lost details. Why 1/4000 shutter speed? Thanks for sharing.

Nice image. Good eye contact from both. I think a more rectangular framing would have been better than the present square one. Thanks for sharing.
