A group of ants was there. Some of them were interested to go into the little tunnel at the lower right corner of the image. The actual cause is unknown. I found maximum three of them entering there at a time though individuals were also interested. During a time lapse of near about 20 minutes I found no feeding objects there. The dusk was clear and no rainfall recorded in future hours. I found some of them taking no interest on the going matter and wandering lazily at a distance (around 6 to 15 feet) surrounding the place. I would be thankful if anyone can help me about the reason behind their such behavior.

    EXIF Info:

    Camera: Nikon D7000
    Lens: Nikon 40mm f/2.8 macro
    ISO: 400
    Aperture: f/6.3
    Shutter Speed: 1/320s

    Thank you.

Good details. To know the exact cause of this behaviour can be difficult, experts please help. I think it might be a probable colony. Thanks for sharing.
