    Default Indian pygmy woodpecker..

    i got a chance to click this cute bird from my native (Arikkulam, Calicut (dt),Kerala)... its first time i am seeing this bird.

    canon 600d, tamron 150-600mm,ISO 1600, 1/250,F6.3, full frame ,hand held..

    Nice to see a brown capped pygmy woodpecker, this a fast moving bird and you need to get the focus spot on, with such a bright BG u need some positive EC.

    I agree with Roopak. You needed atleast a stop of +ve exposure compensation. The bird is in shade and the blacks are crushed. However, shutter speed would have dropped down. Thanks for sharing.

    It's a very difficult bird to capture and a image with good enough details a good one. You may try at the same place next time early morning. Thanks for sharing.
