    Post Bristled Grassbird

    It's Globally threatened species. Commonly seen at tall grassland with bushes and paddy-fields . Size is smaller then Striated Grassbird ( 19-20 cm ) , stout bill , short and broad tail .Feathers of upperparts and wings have broad buff fringes . Upperparts grayer-brown and underparts white in fresh plumage . Photo taken from Bosipota , Hooghly , West Bengal , India . Canon 700d with Canon 70-300 mm IS USM - f/8 , 1/350 sec. , ISO-250 , 300 mm .

    Nice first post. Liked the perch and the head turn. An off-centered framing with more space on the left in the direction the bird is looking would enhanced the composition further. Thanks for sharing. Look forward to more.

    Looks nice. Was it a overcast day? Slightly less space on the left would have been nice. Too often it becomes very difficult to differentiate between the various species which look similar except for slight variations which can only reveal on closer observations. Thanks for sharing.

    Bosipota wetland is now become a good birding place..but Dankuni wetland in Hoogly, as far as I know, are going to be filled up by promoters..The Bunting's habitat has been almost destroyed there...

    you are right Samratda .... all are trying to save our bunting place i mean Dankuni wetland but bosipota going to filled up with factories and other , already start the work and i think within 2 or 3 years we will lost our favourite Bosipota wetland .... it's very sad and a great loss
