Nice sighting of this beautiful bird. Nice eye contact. It is a male, IDs are clear in the image. Some rare mammal or bird is waiting to greet you in Neora Valley. Thanks for sharing. SaktiWild

Lovely sighting. Nice perch and pose. The vertical composition works well here. There are slight loss of details. Thanks for sharing.

Many many thanks for your observation....This shot was taken in extremely low light condition and loss of details may be due to dense canopy of Neora Valley...

At 500mm + focal lengths, one needs to be very careful about shake. Also, when one is on a trek, hands don't remain as steady. Nevertheless, using correct handholding techniques as well as using any support would be of help. How long was this trek? Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers,

Yes sir during trek it was not possible to hand standstill to take shots.....It was great trek of 10 hours (8 km) from Kolakham, Neora Valley to Changey Falls and return back, observing plenty of bird species...
