    Default Eurasian Wryneck

    This species mainly breeds in temperate regions of Europe and Asia. Most populations are migratory, wintering in tropical Africa and in southern Asia from Iran to the Indian Subcontinent. It is protected as a migratory species under the Birds Directive in the European Union.
    It was clicked on October, 2016 along the river bank of Damodar, Barddhaman, West Bengal

    Rare and beautiful. Splendid. It seems winter (though not cold) will arrive in Barddhaman earlier this year. Thanks for sharing. SaktiWild

    Yes.....I am trying to take snap of it in a natural perch...but it is very shy bird
