    Default An interesting sight

ID: Crab spider with Katydid catch

Since the start of monsoon had been in search of a molting of any katydid or grasshopper, unfortunately couldnt manage to get any. All of a sudden I came across this interesting sight, which, like a mirage, I interpreted as a molting. But on a close inspection I realized it was caught by a crab spider which had taken refuge underneath the leaf. The death grip as so tight that it didnt fell off despite wintery breeze.

Rare sighting. The vertical sighting works nicely as you could capture the long leg and the antennae in full. Could you observe it eating the kill? Nicely captured. Thanks for sharing.
