    Default The Indus

This was shot last year in May in Ladakh with my trusty PnS. This is the Indus...

Good shot, Nice compo. Generally a higher Av would be recommended for a landscape image, but I dont see anything significantly OOF here...

Maybe I'm asking for too much, but could you get a shot from near the water level?

Thanks Abhishek. My PnS provides a minimum aperture of F7.1 so cant put too much to play. This was taken from a cliff. Wonder how the shot would have been had i bungeed off it and clicked

Nice photograph. Liked the composition. The pattern and colours of the mountains add to the composition. Bring back Ladakh memories

    Good image Bibhav.

What a great river Indus is !!.

I was saddened to see a picture of this magnificant river shot in Karachi that appeared in frontline magazine. The river was polluted beyond revival and banks were taken over.

There can be no other gift than the river and it is disgrace that man vandalizes them for shortterm gains jeopardizing his own existence.

Should I feel happy seeing a beautiful and well composed image, just in the early morning...
OR should I feel pity on river and oneself seeing the water level in river.....

    Hi Ashvary,
Rivers in the high mountain ranges of the tibetian or the himalayan ranges come from underground sources as well as ice melting from the peaks... In summers the amount of water in rivers is abt this much. In winters these freeze entirely...
