    Nice close up. I like the eyes. Yellow Monitor is rare in W. Bengal. Is it a new sighting than the previous one? Are there a few, both Male and Female, so as to ensure new generation? Thanks for sharing. SaktiWild

    Good close-up. Liked the eye contact and the composition. Since you were using a high ISO, did you try using a slight narrower aperture like 6.3 or 7 for more details? Thanks for sharing.

    Yes it is a new sighting.I shot it in auto mode as it was low light situation.

    Great to see this image of a yellow monitor. I hope you will get one in better light next time. Any idea about the yellow monitor population in your area?

    Exceptional sighting and lovely close up image. This species has not been studied in depth, so not much information is available.
