Default Rare Sighting of "Mountain Hawk Eagle"

Fortunate sighting of rare bird of prey..."The Mountain Hawk Eagle".

Not a great image but a record shot, light was poor, as it was past 6.00 pm, dusk had set in, when we saw this bird perching on about 50 m high tree between two hills. Initially I thought it was changeable hawk but the guide said the crest is too big for changeable hawk and then through binocular when he saw he exclaimed "Mountain hawk eagle". My one camera was geared up with 300 F4 ED FL and 2x Kenko, I picked that up instead of the heavy 600mm F4 gun for obvious reasons and carefully ensured my shutter speed was sufficient to take the slight shakes and vibration, increased the exposure and clicked.

    Nikon D4s, Nikon 300 F4 FL ED, Kenko 2x, Shot @ 600 F8, ISO 2000, 1/1250s. Corbett

2x TC should only be used with very good lens else it degrades the image quality substantially. At 600 mm focal length, it is important to stabilise the lens well.
