Default When the predator is mauled out

ID: Common House gecko(juv) mauled by giant ants(id help appreciated)

Was alarmed by mom about some big ants roaming in huge numbers in the bedroom, only to come across a group of them feeding on the carcass of a juv gecko. The ants were hardly bothered by my close presence and the flash lights, and kept on taking turns to chomp off some piece of the gecko

In nature nothing goes to waste. Good details. These days I see more of black ants in the house than red ones. The red ants, I see in the house are very small in size than the ones we used to see earlier. Looks like they have overtaken the red ants. Have you observed this behavior? Thanks for sharing.
