    Default The Mating Couple

This mating couple had found the top of some ancient ruins a wonderful location for their interlude in Kabini during the rains.Nikon 7100+150-600 F/8 ISO1250 1/500s may 2017.I was in one of those unbelievable safari buses that are the bane of Karnataka tourism. The sighting was unfortunateLy for me on the opposite side to where I was sitting. There was a general rush to all available windows and this image has been taken amidst the trying circumstances.

Nice to see the couple. The shy female remained alert, the size of the male is mesmerising. Thanks for sharing. SaktiWild

Amazing sighting. Good details and composition even in trying conditions. The high ISO has helped. Nicely captured. How long was the sighting? Look forward to see more in the series. It seems in Kabini, there are amazing sightings from the safari bus . Thanks for sharing.

One needs more than luck to sight a mating leopard couple, and the icing on the cake is that the female giving such cautious stare at the lens and the huge male is busy appreciating her beauty. Awesome image captured under such a trying condition.

Great sighting. The male looks healthy. In nature the females select the most suitable males for mating. How long did this sighting last? Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers,

A perfect image, circumstances notwithstanding. You and Leopards have a terrible affinity :-). Thanks for sharing.
