All coiled up for the false strike

Stumbled upon this beauty while strolling along the trail, on a look out for few frogs.The small enchanter tried to keep off from us, but eventually taking to a more defensive, but intimidating posture of coiling up its whole body and hiding away its head, eventually popping it up to give this framed pose.

This was on 23rd, around late noon, lighting was an issue due to heavy clouds, luckily wasnt raining

Nice to see this one. How far are you? Is this a large crop? Eye contact is fine. A bit more sharpness would have been great. While shooting one should respect the personal space of the species else it causes stress. Thanks for sharing.
