    Default Blue eared kingfisher

    Blue eared kingfisher
Shot in Goa, Jan 17. Late evening at round 6.30 p.m.
    Canon 6d, Sigma 150-600 sport, f/6.3, 1/13 seconds, ISO-3200
The resulting image was so dark, that I had to boost the brightness by 1.33 stops in DPP.
Shot with the support of a wall, no tripod.

Nice. A kingfisher image on the forum after a long time . Some noise in the background maybe due to the high ISO as you have mentioned. Did you try any composition with slight less space on the left? Thanks for sharing.

Ohh so Cute. I love the perch. Looks to be a root of a large tree. Since the perch is interesting, you have included it. However, the bird is facing the opposite side of the curve. So in this composition there is more negative space behind. Creating environmental composition is more challenging than creating a closeup with long lenses. The image has held up well despite pulling up the brightness in post. Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers,

Thanks Sabyasachi and Mrudul. Since the light was so low, and no tripod with me, I took several images of the bird which was barely seen with naked eyes. This is the only image which came out reasonably sharp.
