    Default The weathering beauty

    ID: Rhamphicarpa fistulosa(Tutari)

Came across this beautiful flowering plant along the trail towards the Western ghats. Though encountering it early in the morning, interestingly it blooms in the night/early morning and starts weathering down by the time the sun is properly up in the sky.

    EXIF:

    Canon 100mm macro

    Shutterspeed 1/200

    Location: Enroute to Western ghats

Special thanks to Rajesh Sachdev for helping in ID-ing the flower and sharing valuable info about this delicate beauty

The dew drops have created a very nice effect. You know why it is called 'Tutari' in Marathi? Thanks for sharing.

Not very sure, but may be because it looks like a tutari, the vocal instrument???
